Women's Cancer Contribution

. As my contribution to Women's Cancer issues, Li'l Sis Eco-Friendly Goat Milk Soap has made a pledge to offer our 100% Natural soap as a gift to women undergoing either chemotherapy or radiation therapy. My hope is that my product will nourish and gently clean their delicate skin. This box is headed to Canada to a lovely woman who recently had a mastectomy. I'm happy to offer a variety of Li'l Sis goat soap to her, free of charge. Li'l Sis is on her way ✈

We have recently become engaged with Global Hand.Global Hand is an online matching service: a non-profit brokerage facilitating public/private partnership. It brings together people who want to address global issues: for-profit organisations, non-profit organisations, foundations, trusts, governments, diplomats and more. It works like this; you decide what you have to donate, services, a product, educational skills or other skills, etc.

Helping Children at Global Hand

You place on their site what you wish to donate and what your interests are and which charity organisations or causes you wish to align yourself. For me I am particularly concerned with children and want to help where I can. I have expressed my interest in assisting children in need as I placed my offer of Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap on the site.

Goat Enclosure at Gullringstorp

Once I am satisfied, I will donate my product. I can't and shouldn't rush such a decision like this. Because Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap is a small fledgling home business, I do not have the inventory to be able to donate to all of the notes of interest in my mailbox. I am very close to my decision and will post when it is made. Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap is not a major player, but every little bit helps. I would give anything to see those little faces light up when they see a cute goat on the soap!

A Good Place to Think, Gullringstorp

I am sharing with you Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap's very important decision. In my need to give back and participate in humanitarian causes, I have decided to make donations of my Eco- Friendly 100% Natural products. Having posted my offer on Global Hand Organisation's website, I received many notes of interest. I was my job to do as much research as possible to be able to make an informed choice.

Delicious Grasses for our Goats

I have taken the time needed to review all the notes of interest that have received both on the Global Hand website and my e-mail. Each one is more compelling than the next. I really wish that I had the capacity to assist in as many notes of interest as I have received. This is, however, not possible for Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap at this time. In my quest to make my choice, I have had to do a lot of thinking and researching each NGO. After having read through each website, my decision is made.

Decision Made

It is important to me to be able to help children in any way I can so my choice was clear. I have decided to go into partnership with Appomense Hope for Africa Organisation in Ghana. In addition to many projects, they presently work with 9 orphanages. They have children from 1 day old up to 19 years old.

Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap

Li'l Sis Goat Milk Soap is not a large company, but size does not determine your ability to help people in need. I can not send boxes upon boxes of product, but after my warm welcome from Appomense Hope for Africa, I will do my best to donate a couple of times a year to this organisation. I am so excited and now it's time to select my products and get them packaged up for their long trip to Ghana.

Preparing Soaps

As I packed the soaps, I took care to pack them with just one bar wrapped as if in a shop and the others open to view.

Soap Sizes

I used all three of my different sizes: square with goat for older children, tiny travel size for the infants and the larger rectangle for the adults.

Packages

Each soap was wrapped according to scent and who they would best be suited to. They were carefully bubble wrapped for their long journey.

All were boxed up with lots of information sheets about our Eco-Friendly product and a thank you note from us.

Transport to Ghana

We had absolutely no idea how long it would take for our package to arrive in Ghana from Sweden. We were getting emails and texts asking where it was . This was well into a month after it left Sweden. through tracking numbers and a lot of research, the package had been sitting in Ghana for nearly one month and was deemed "undeliverable". We found out that it actually only took 4 days from Sweden to arrive. We were anxious on both fronts wondering where the package was.

Donation Finally Arrived!

Finally it arrived!!! Then it took some time for the actual delivery to the various orphanages. Once I received notice that it was now complete, all I could think and say was, my heart is full.... I learned that they went to Akwakwaa Nyameste Orphanage Home in the Central Region and several through Light and Sound Foundation in Greater Accra Ghana.

I was so happy to finally receive photos of the children!
