We are a Gene Bank Farm for one of Sweden's Endangered Heritage Species of Goat, Lappgetter. It is  our responsibility to not only care for the goats that came to us at Gullringstorp, but to add to the numbers. We are proud to announce we have had 5 beautiful healthy babies.

New Babies at Gullringstorp

Today I'm very happy to announce the gender and name of our first born Lappgett at Gullringstorp. We have a tiny girl😊Her name is a traditional Sami name, Ája. This name means "cold spring". Perfect for a tiny goat born on a cold spring morning.

It makes me very happy to be able to be a part of this important conservation work as a Gene Bank. Not only do we get to do our part, but we get to enjoy these delightful goats. An added bonus is that I can use their milk in all my Li’l Sis Eco-Friendly Goat Milk Soap.

I'm very happy to announce the gender and name of our second born Lappgett at Gullringstorp. We have another baby girl😊Her name is a traditional Sami name, Áila. This name means "blessing". Perfect for a tiny goat born safely before delivery of her stillborn twin. Little Áila truly is a blessing.

I have selected a joik which is a traditional Sami form of music. It is one of the oldest living music traditions in Europe. Sami in Nordic countries of Sweden, Finland, Norway and even parts of Russia sing these beautiful songs, joiks.  It makes me very happy to be able to be a part of this important conservation work as a Gene Bank. Not only do we get to do our part, but we get to enjoy these delightful goats. An added bonus is that I can use their surplus milk in all my Li’l Sis Eco-Friendly Goat Milk Soap.

I'm very happy to announce the gender and name of babies born to our 3rd Lappgett at Gullringstorp. I apologize for the late announcement but it's been really busy here at Gullringstorp.

Tova had 2 little boys! They, like my other new babies have received carefully selected Sami names. Iissák and Nánit. They are growing into very handsome Lappgetter.

I'm very happy to announce the gender and name of a baby born to our 4th Lappgett at Gullringstorp. I apologize for the late announcement but it's been really busy here at Gullringstorp.

Tuva had a little boy. Unlike our other 4 new babies, this little boy does not have a Sami name. There was a discussion and the conversation went like this; well you have 4 Sami names, how about a non Sami name? I answered, what something like Bob? Well, introducing, little Bob. He is a wonderful little fella. Little is not quite right, he's tiny but is strong, healthy and feisty. I'm in love with Bob❤ Our baby count is 5.  We have 2 girls and 3 boys. Everyone is happy and healthy.
